Privacy Policy

What this website collects, why, where it goes, and how to ask us to delete it.

Last updated October 21, 2026

The short version

If you send us a message through this site, we collect what you typed so we can answer it. We store it on our own server. We do not sell it, we do not run advertising networks or analytics on this site, and we do not send it to anyone other than our own staff.

What the contact form collects

The enquiry form asks for six things:

  • Name, email address and message — required, because we need them to reply.
  • Phone number and company name — optional, and only used if you choose to give them.
  • A subject line — chosen from a list, so your enquiry reaches the right person.

The form also contains a hidden field called website that is never shown to people. It exists only to catch automated spam: if it comes back filled in, the submission is thrown away and nothing is stored.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry.
  • To provide services to you, if you become a client.
  • To keep a record of our correspondence with you.

We do not use your details for marketing lists, and we do not sell, rent or trade them.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in a database on a server we operate ourselves — not through a third-party form service. When you submit the form, two emails also go out: one to our office inbox, and a confirmation to the address you gave us. Email is not a perfectly private medium; if you need to send us something sensitive, call us first and we will arrange a better way.

Third parties on this site

We run no analytics, no advertising networks, no social media embeds and no chat widgets. There is one exception we want to be straight about:

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When you load a page, your browser makes a request to Google for those font files, and that request includes your IP address. That is the only information this site sends to a third party about a visit, and it is the only reason we use them.

Cookies and things saved on your device

  • Visitors to this website: no cookies.
  • Signing in to the staff admin area sets a single session cookie so the site knows you are signed in. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, is sent only over HTTPS, and is cleared when you sign out.
  • If you switch the site between its light and dark themes, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage. It contains nothing but your colour choice.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are relevant to answering you or to our working relationship, and deleted when they are no longer needed. If you ask us to delete your enquiry earlier, we will — see "Your choices" below.

How it is protected

  • The site is served over HTTPS, and browsers are told to use HTTPS only.
  • The enquiries database is not reachable from the public website.
  • The staff admin area requires a password and is reachable only from our office network.
  • Form submissions are rate-limited and screened for spam before anything is stored.

Your choices

Email hello@f1tech.ca and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We may ask you to confirm the request came from the address in question. There is no automated process for this — a person reads it and does it, usually within a few business days.

If this policy changes

We will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will get a note here rather than a quiet edit.
